i like this song but due to the fact its almost bass-less it spreads an empty feeling..
if your going for a house/electroish song, ever again (like this song) with sharp leads you really need, no you HAVE to have more bass.. otherwise it feels like you put an EQ on and cut the bass..

bass isnt necessarily a 'filler' to make a track sounding fuller but in this case it is.

anwho i really like the leads in this and the simple/basic notes you used to do the melodies.
its catchy, simple and will always work.

DjAbbic responds:

Yeah I have definitely learnt from this. I know what you mean by the bass is a filler in these tracks, since the synths are dependent on being 'full' and 'huge', which means they must cover almost the full frequency spectrum, which I personally think I nailed in my track 'Antiphysics' (whoopeee).

I'm glad that this has taken a beating for the lack of bass though, because now I make sure that the bass isn't lacking :P.

Thanks for the review!

damn i know dat pluck in the start of this WiP!
and damn fine melody.
however, you put it in dubstep which i dont get at this moment lol
this song has an amazing trancey kind of feel at the start and housy beats with dubstep/elektroish sounds at the near end.

anywho i like where its going :)

DjAbbic responds:

It was a tweaked preset, so I'm not sure how you could recognise it :P (unless I somehow made it sound exactly like something else).

Coming from you, I'm really glad that you like the melody :p. I'm not sure why this was in dubstep...probably an accident.

As for the electro at the end, it was mostly an experiment with white noise (the bass hit sounds a lot more powerful than it actually is, neat little trick I learnt). I combined it with some bits from chopped up loops to give it the complex feeling. This is my first time doing that actually, so I'm glad that turned out nicely.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the review :).

Haha awsome!
and i love doofensmirtz :D

tomdink responds:

yo D-Chain!!! Been a long time man. ahahahahha me too :)

great production value man!
i love the synths.

the composition is a bit easy/simple imo. but doesnt really matter when there's so many man hours spend to make it perfect lol

great job man!

Norato responds:

Thanks man ;)

wow dat melody after 1 minute!
why not make this a melodic DnB track..

Norato responds:

I was thinking about DnB or Dubstep drop becouse its in high Bpm so both is possible.

gotta love this and boii i do <3
the only minor thing i didnt like is when the kickdrum sort of fades when the bass gets more body near the end of this piece.

alanisnotcool responds:

thanks for your feedback =) i agree about the kick

i totally agree with BronyLegend here.
this piece could have been much more powerful/bigger than it is now. EVENTHOUGH you weren't trying to make it a big thing.
i always try to tell or show people that any bass frequention is a must-have when it comes
to making a good song or just any piece of music in general. without it feels kind of.. heartless/empty.
even your own speaking voice reflects a vorm of bass that kicks in at different (lower) tones when talking.

anyway, dont let yourself discourage by the low ratings and votes.
thats just more of a.. A-hole thing rather than an ok-im-going-to-vote/rate-fair thing.
lots of A-hole's on this site. including myself, i dont know how much exactly.

Luna-Sky responds:

lol its ok im glad someone listened though ^^

the melody is really nice! i think the best yoiu ever did :)
but the dubstep/elektro wubs make it hard to listen to bc i think its in the same register, maybe you should make the elektro sounds more mono and the melody more stereo, or the other way around(melody more mono, elektro sounds more stereo) that way people can listen to both at the same time lol

Norato responds:

YES, Tottaly agree with you... Thats becouse I made the lead first and then wanted to seperate those part, made clasic electro house track with long bass & Lead but I wanted to try something new so it kinda fall into same freq. reg.

It´s my first song of that gendre and I deffinitly want to keep makeing songs like this. Complextro/dubstep mixed with Electro-house :D

I always missed melody on dubstep track couse u cant really use many notes, it´s just on the synth. I will try to perfect that style over the time :)

Thanks for pointing that out and for the tip.
