shit i love this bass <3

YakovlevArt responds:

yeah man thanks a lot.
I been putting a lot of time into the bassline so far. still working on it to the last second =]
Glad you like ti.

as promised i would review this piece when i had more time :)

beginning;
starts off calm with a great chord, tho.. imo it could use MORE attack in the synth.

buildup:
im a big fan of pitchies and stuff related to it,
however its not VERY great but i would give this build a 7,5 out of 10.

actual mid point -after buildup:
i can slightly hear a loveable pitch synth <3
my question is, why didnt you pitch it? :)

1:30 ;
here it 'suddenly' starts to become calm again.
i wondered what was going to happen next..
and you pulled it off with the pitch i had in mind :)
even mixed it proper and kept the pitch in to the next buildup :\
and once again you pull it off with the amazing beat <3

i wouldnt dare calling this boring..
its slightly repetitive, but thats fair imo, [any electronical song gets repetitive at some point]

all around i would give this a 8,5 / 9
can't give you a 10 bc it certainly laggs some propah quality mastering :) [but who cares..]

giving this a 4,5/5
and 5/5 vote for now :)

DjAbbic responds:

Heh, I thought the synth already had enough stab, guess I was wrong :P. I'm not very experienced with pitches, so my pitch transitions are very basic.

As for the lovable pitch synth, I'm not sure which one you're talking about.

Ok, now I do :P. I guess I overdid it by letting it run on 2 transitions. Thanks for thinking it's an amazing beat :).

Thanks a lot for the constructive and detailed review :)

Now that I hear the ending..it doesn't sound so good...perhaps I'll change that sometime.

this sounds cool man!
love the pitch synths!
i see you have another extended version,
but im not quite at the right spot to check it out now,
so i will leave it be until i have more time today :)

DjAbbic responds:

:).

hmm so la-yinn shows to be a somewhat.. drumNbass -related music guy.
believe me i have absolutely no knowledge or what so ever about these genre's,
but i think i really hear better then this :)
tho, dont get the wrong idea..

Its spacyyy alright, just like its name.
it sounds like a mix between liquid and jungle something something.. darky.

if you planned this to be the outcome then i have to respect it.

in shorter words;
i do like what youve done overall,
but imo i would have loved BASSSSSZZZZZ :)

la-yinn responds:

Yo! Yeah I'm all about dnb. ;-)

I know what you mean, but this was a little sloppy in general. I'm pretty proud of the breaks in the middle and decided to extend the track a bit. But my other stuff does have quite a lot of bass, so if you like that, check it out. :3

Thanks for reviewing mate!

me neither cz ur bazz is somewhat to heavy. :)
i like how this is put together tho it has wonderfull melodies <3

alexjav21 responds:

these melodies? nothing compared to Rain Forest!
Thanks for the review! i agree with you about the bass.

if you want my honest opinion;
you should stick with house [the soul genre]
and leave Trance [the heart genre] :)
you get 2.5 stars for trying.

Norato responds:

actually, this is more house than trance :D

i think the volume isnt really your problem. :)
cz if you boost it even further you will boost everything including the bass which is pretty fragile at this point, unless ur good at compressing tho.

Happy new year to you too man,
lets just cross our fingers and have a nice year.
and happy BD to her stil eventho i dont know her lol xD

Indigorain responds:

Hey thanks bro!
Haha, yeah, I've gotten a bit more into some more volume mastering using limiters and maximizers etc :D
Anyway, thanks for the birthday congratulations to my gf, I'll pass it on!
Thanks for the review man, I really appreciate it!

Wonderfull man!
i guess this is the first vgs- videogamesong that isnt repeatitive/boring imo :)
its allround pretty up-beat and happy.
and i can really see this being used by big game developers like Namco for example.

Indigorain responds:

Thanks for the kind words man, i really appreciate that! :D :D
