Lol

its nice tho but i feel like there's allot of uncompressed stuff which makes it..
blurry/messy.
compressing is all about keeping your sound at a current dB level by suppressing the sound(s) with the compression you want.

EQ stuff is on the good way tho!
and prog-trance is all about making awsome beats with heavy bass and wonderfull pluck/synth melody's ;)

(i dont wanna be the wise guy here..
but its just to make you see what the differences are)

Besides if i may, what gear/equipment are you using?
bc i havent spend a cent yet to develop my skillz (im using fruity loops atm)

eimad-zamrik responds:

Hey D-Chain, thanks for the review, the explanations are nice. These kinds of reviews are just taken as positive criticism so no worries there bro and they are what i look for here on newgrounds.

what i meant by my budget is that I do not currently have decent speakers at all so they are not going to tell me how my sounds actually sound (if they need tuning or not), especially on other speakers and especially since there are colourations built-in these speakers produced by the manufacturer meaning preset frequencies . I'm looking into studio monitor speakers.

I'll defintely take a look into the compressor, you are correct a lot of the stuff is not compressed and it is good to know that i should compress them, ill look into that right away.

I appreciate the review, i'll definitely continue producing with your advice in mind. Thanks!

i would

love to colaberate sometime.. someday.. in the near future.
until then, this is pretty intense on my ears :) perhaps lowering some EQ frequentions would do a decent job on the intense bass. around 139 - 300hz

Hikari responds:

Lol, sounds fun. its hard to master music with $2 earbuds with no range xD

Nice!

Reminds me of pokemon, and lots of more gameboy (color/advanced) games ^^

Michael-Flaherty responds:

Thanks dude!

nice

early happy hardcore :)
good memories back in the 90's

EPSSounds responds:

Thanks ^_^
Yea, music is not what it use to be now-a-days... Like Khanken said down below, it doesn't sound like "modern" trance... I wasn't going for "modern" lol I don't like how things have changed so I was trying to remind everyone with this song xD

it's

clear alright,
however your kick is missing an important piece,..
its really soft.

i like the chords and piano allot tho!
white noise could be.. better awell imo.

DJ-Babokon responds:

Well I wanted the kick to be soft in the intro. Just giving it that heartbeat kinda feel.

Really

liking the bass but aspecially the plucks <3
wonderfull music.

alanisnotcool responds:

thanks =DD im still working on this song actually as i type this =D

3 words awsome

wonderfull tune man, however it laggs a bit of power imo.. maybe some filters where a bit off idk. it just misses something :) (otherwise you would get the 10)
and its a shame if you will let this beauty die bc of it.

aliaspharow responds:

Yeah you got some good points. Il definitly work on that. Speaking of which, im Remixing Rain Forest :D. Its an epic mix of styles. Cant wait to show it to you

what do i make of it?

honestly,
it has decent trancy elements such as housy sounds and progressive pluck elements.
the combination above CAN be great.
however, you made your point by sleeping while doing this track lol

tho i have to say, your quality is pretty great :)
so not all is bad, but its not good either.

i hope you will be awake when you start making a new one ;)

XayberOptix responds:

I strive to achieve maximum sonic quality in every piece I compose. Despite the fact that I wasn't totally awake when writing this piece, I think it still deserves my vigorous sound mastering techniques nonetheless. :) Thanks for the review!

Lol

this sounds like a fuse between happy hardcore and future trance :)
the mixture is pretty solid, hower your mastering laggs crisp but most of all a clear solid ground.
those are my ONLY concerns as for now.

i hope youll have lots of fun here aswell ^^ so welcome a 'board!

PS: if this is your very first song, i can tell your better then i was when i started.

Shabadaman responds:

Thanks very much D-Chain! :) this is actually my first song with fl studio, i have mucked about with garageband at school before, but nothing like this :P
I know this is a stupid question, but how do i master my songs well? Thanks for the review!! (message me back if you like)
