that used to make music by its own, playe guitar,piano, synthesizers you call m..

anyways it wouldnt help you getting better right ^^

i think the melody on 1:12 could be lowered in volume,
and your kick could use some extraordinary compression + EQing :)

as for the clap towards the end could also use some lowering in volume ;)

besides that, nice version :P

Thanks for the review:) This is a very old song that i just finally gave up on and put it on here. I agree that the kick could use some compression... i never really even paid much attention to that. Mastering is one of my worst skills... But thanks for the review!

i think

you dont seem to know what trance exactly is ..
i would recommend this as dance genre.

trance uses allot of reverb and has most of the time an intense melodie, which dis hasnt.
by another fact trance uses also some pads and plucks aswell as several beats.

so yea i hope you can understand my statement that this just isnt trance. in ANY way.

Reasons why im different from ordinary trance.
1.I Dont like intense reverb. Mild reverb on certain instruments is cool, but when it distorts the song, it becomes a problem.

2. My melodies are simple, yet complex. They build on each other sure, but they are extremely simple. Its too simple to go into dance, so i have to put it in trance. I would put it in techno, but i think they want something around 160 bpm. I only use 140 bpm. Also, it doesn't seem intense because i am using plucked. If i used nexus( Which is still corrupted, so no luck yet.) It would sound completely different.

3. Pads, i just cant find the right one for a song. I never have good luck with it. I would love it if someone sent me a pad in WAV form, but it hasn't happened yet. Thats why i post BETA's. To get the bad stuff out of the way early.

I know what trance is, and im very capable of making a good song. But you have to understand, im still in high school, so i dont have much time to make this stuff. Thats why it takes too long to make stuff. Im still working on some old song i had lyin around on my computer. If you want to send me WAV's of anything you think would help me, then by all means do so. But i understand what you were saying. I just dont like to be included with everyone else. "Music is a window to the soul." This song is a part of me, and i made this BETA mainly to tell anyone who can understand music enough to understand the person who made it to understand what type of person i am. Thats why i listen to trance, dance, and house. No lyrics, and a good melody plus choice of instruments lets me know if im capable of understanding that person. Thanks for the review, i haven't explained myself this thoroughly to anyone yet! XD

Hmm.

it needs allot improvement dude,
the bass your using isnt mcuh of a bass..
needs bettah EQing [specially the bass frequentions.]

besides that, the guitar is a bit thin .. it needs reverb to make it phat and thick :)

kick could use some bettah frequentions aswell as compression.

i know allot of people think that if you submit a piano song, with influence of trance, you should call it trance right? :P
not every piano / trancy song is trance,
but, i wanna say 1 thing; that blasting guitar is just awsome dude :O

I was kinda surprised

my song, when you told me in your review that the mixing was terrible [atleast not good enough]
so to answer that: im gonna work on it ^^

about your update here;
its great music, but i have my saying: sidechain on sounds does make it less powerfull, it gets a bit repeatitive after some time to hear the same sweep between the kicks over and over you know.
but thats just my opinion :)

what i cant find in this piece:
low bass ?? where is it dude.. trance needs atleast 2 basses..
a mid and low bass, and for the 3rd you need a deep bass.

im listening tru the headphone, so.. its a kinda loss if youd ask me.
you might want to add it? or if you already have it, change it... bc i cant hear it.

the effects are wonderfull done, aswell as the mixing. nothing to comp about.
so yea.. the only things imo im missing, is power, and a low/deep bass :)

hope you can work it out.
lets just say, cheers :)

fully agree about the repetitive sweeps, thats just temporary untill the final release transitions =) you are right about everything, the low bass comment too, thank you for the great feedback and ill let you know when the final will be released =)
