Simple and short but can be effective if it was longer, if added a little more dynamics, mixing and other interesting things.
are you new to newgrounds?

achunkofspaghetti responds:

thank you, and yes I am new here.

lol i didnt realize you uploaded a 2nd wip until now haha.
Quality is still here though, i love the plucks they feel so real, i can almost touch them with my fingertips! The mixing needs a little work that shouldnt be to hard to do.
The vocals are a nice addition, they actually help very well with the mixing.
and at around 0:57 to 1:01 i hear something i have done too in a track of mine 4 years ago or sumthing.
again at 2:13 -2:18 :) just lovely!

5 from me! ^^

DjAbbic responds:

Haha yeah I wasn't really planning on working on it anytime soon so you can be forgiven for not realising there were 2 wips :p.

I was debating whether or not to keep the vocals in there or not, and I'm still a little unsure, but they're kinda cool so I'll leave them be for now.

Also there's something about the pacing of the second buildup-drop that bothers me, I'm not quite sure what it is so I'll probably look into that a bit :s

In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed this :D

Great quality! its nice to see your still doing 'some' music, every now and then :)

Wow! dude.. one word; Fusion! oh my god.. im not blown away but this piece has too many elements that it actually has to be voted 5. in there is everything for everyone with and without a music taste!
Respect. and 2 deserved five's.

SINESPAWN responds:

Thank you for your comment and votes!
I aim to produce music of this sort of cast, that it touches grounds with many styles and tastes for many to interpret. The word I used, "Myriad", was chosen specifically to reflect that as a genre.

great crispy sounds! and a clean mix aswell awsome!

alanisnotcool responds:

thanks friend =) sorry its such a short teaser lol.

agree with CJM.
but the quality of the song, the clearness, crispy feel, overal it feels like you put allot in the same register/frequency-bands? or am i just summing up some crap that isnt true?

SyMTiK responds:

do you mean that a lot of the instruments are really close together frequency wise? ehh at some points that might be partially true. i think the hardest part is pitching the song up, because i have to work on the remix at the original tempo of the song, then i need to bounce the whole track then put it into a sampler and pitch it up and speed it up, which almost bunches the sound together more because everything is up pitched, so its pretty difficult to get a good balance and know if it will sound right when pitched up.

not my cup of tea. it feels static and the dynamics are poor. the synth sound around 1:36 and onwards sounds really old, ive heard it a thousand times and it just doesnt fit the todays trance/euphoria sound anymore. i bet its a Nexus sound ;)
also, you should check out Sylenth1 and do your own synths :) (design your own sounds)
Another thing i noticed was a little lack of bass. you have the mids going on good but what happend to the low's ?

the things i enjoyed were the calm trancey pad and the piano. they are simple but really strong!

PS. im judging from my perspective. dont ask me to 'soften' my review on this because you just started here on newgrounds. this song simply is what it is :)

SyMTiK responds:

thank you for the review :) i appreciate actual reviews, rather than the crap like "nice track". i do not own nexus, and i created all of the synth sounds from scratch in this song except for one lead, which was a preset in razor that i adjusted just a little bit (the synth that comes in at 2:12). I wasnt really looking to make modern trance, i really enjoy some of the "older" stuff from the early 2000's (i know, not really that old, but old enough so that the sound was different :P) so i kind of went for what i thought were synths that sounded like the stuff from around that time. I have never really made trance before either, so wasnt really trying to innovate much on something i havent done before. thanks for the review, i appreciate your opinion :)

give it up for this remix!
its at least 3 times better than the original.

AeronMusic responds:

Thank you! (:

Dis song deserves all my stars. most of the time im not a fan of 'happy' songs, but this, this is from another planet! its so simple but so strong, the quality is almost top notch and everything fits together.
the one thing i didnt understand is the sudden ending. why not add a crash to the end? so it sounds more like it ends.
but anyway, awsome song!

ForeverBound responds:

Thanks mate U really made me smile after this review

the sounds are nice as far as i am concerned. but the end result/mastering doesnt fit the song.
the kickdrum is trying everything to get noticed but gets flushed away instead.
Some sounds even overlap/conflict each other.
And i would like to say something nice here.
Its trancy. but..
Next time try some Compression and EQ work.
Cant give you any tips on that,
i learned it myself but i dont know if im doing any good.
also hope i did NOT offend you with this review,
i dont like to make peopple sad so please dont stop doing music.

Ditchy responds:

Happy with your Comment mate,

I do this as one of my hobbies so ill never expect to get anywhere professionally with my music - Something I just enjoy :)
